For 14 years I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Master of wine to grace Dubai with his knowledge. Coincidentally, that day perfectly coincided with my first article for our newly born Wine Blog.
We meet with Mr. Rollo at the iconic restaurant R Trader, situated in Al Fattan Currency House for lunch. Joining him was Mr. Mark Brough of MMI and as with all the wine tastings, we started ordering food to taste along with his selection of wines. Mr. Rollo comes from an English Family that has produced wines for three generations.

Lanson White Label is a Champagne where 29 grams of sugar are added to the dosage which makes the Champagne sweeter and softer. The idea behind this slick white bottle is to reach the younger consumer, mostly Russian and new world who loves this style. The White Label launch was in a private area of Cove Beach and I cannot deny the fact that all the time there is an event with Champagne, the people around are much happier and relaxed.
